There is a Future: Pashinyan Delivers Speech at the UN

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech at the UN Future Summit today, stating that it is particularly important for him to participate in this session, as the slogan of his political party, the Civil Contract, is 'There is a Future'.

At the Future Summit of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly taking place in New York, he also remarked that we cannot change the past, and there are many things we cannot change even today, which is why shaping the future is the most crucial task.

'Our agenda is also well known: peace, security, prosperity, human rights, artificial intelligence, climate change, and so on. As strange as it may sound, regarding the future, the one thing we can do today is to have a positive mindset,' he stated.

According to Pashinyan, international formats have long become platforms for mutual accusations, and usually, at UN sessions, people come to say how bad everything is.

'We need to think and envision a good future, as what is happening is happening in our consciousness. I want to say that there is a future, and I want to contribute to it. I want to focus on forward-looking opportunities and will not try to blame our neighbors. Let us still talk about this, as it began with words, and the word was with God. Therefore, we must start from good words and choose the slogan that there is a future as a theory, and work on proving that theory. Let’s do that,' he declared.
