Zakhrova: Pashinyan's Statements Contradict Common Sense and Reality

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement in which the Armenian leader described the CSTO as a threat to the country's security and sovereignty.

“I think these statements contradict common sense and reality. Because if something is ‘threatening’ you, especially national security, what is the point of saying that Armenia still remains in the CSTO?” Zakharova said.

“If Armenia remains in the CSTO, it means they see some kind of expediency in this. Meanwhile, they were saying that the CSTO has 'left Armenia.' All of this contradicts reason and logic,” she added.

It is worth reminding that Nikol Pashinyan stated yesterday that the CSTO does not fulfill its security obligations towards Armenia, and instead, the CSTO creates threats to Armenia's security and future existence.
