Israel's Fake Company Produced Explosive Paging Devices
Israel has created a fake company for the production of explosive paging devices, which were later supplied to Lebanon. This was reported by the American New York Times, referencing three intelligence officials familiar with the operation.
"Outwardly, 'BAC Consulting' seemed to be a Hungarian company that had a contract for device production on behalf of the Taiwanese company 'Gold Apollo.' In reality, it was part of an Israeli cover-up," the publication states.
Sources from the publication added that at least two other fake companies were established to mask the fact that the individuals creating the paging devices were employees of Israeli intelligence.
According to the newspaper, 'BAC Consulting' also had regular clients for whom paging devices without explosives were produced.
The paging devices began to be supplied to Lebanon in the summer of 2022, and production expanded after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah condemned the use of mobile phones for security reasons.
On September 17, paging devices exploded in various regions of Lebanon. Lebanon's Health Minister Firas Abyad reported that around 3,000 people were injured, and 20 were killed in the incident.
Earlier, the Taiwanese company 'Gold Apollo,' which manufactures paging devices, stated that the batch of devices that exploded in Lebanon was certified by 'BAC Consulting Kft' based in Budapest.
