It Is the 'Peace Treaty' That Should Resolve This Issue: Pashinyan

Perceptions of the 'Peace Treaty,' at times reflect comments made in Azerbaijan alongside those heard in Armenia, as both nations seem to echo similar views. In Armenia, there exists a belief that the peace treaty should resolve all possible issues, while Azerbaijan also holds the opinion that the 'Peace Treaty' must address all potential questions.

This statement was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the Second Armenian Global Summit in response to a question regarding whether prisoners would be returned under the peace treaty.

“In my opinion, it is the 'Peace Treaty' that should solve this issue, regardless of whether it is explicitly stated in the document or not, because the 'Peace Treaty' signifies a different atmosphere, different relationships,” he stated. “Today, what we are saying is that the 'Peace Treaty,' including the declarations made by Azerbaijan, is 80 percent agreed upon,” Pashinyan added.
