Elman Pashayev Arrested

The Moscow Garrison Military Court has detained former lawyer Elman Pashayev in a fraud case involving the Blinovsky family. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“To satisfy the investigator's request, the court has chosen detention as a measure of restraint for the suspect Pashayev for a period of two months,” stated Judge Maxim Ivanov.

Pashayev will remain in custody until November 15. The court session was held behind closed doors, and the reasons for conducting the proceedings non-publicly have not been disclosed.

On September 17, the Investigative Committee of Russia announced that a criminal case had been initiated against Pashayev under Article 159, Part 4 of the Criminal Code (particularly large-scale fraud). He was arrested.

The investigation revealed that in February 2024, during a meeting in Moscow with Elena Blinovskaya's husband, Alexey Blinovsky, Pashayev convinced them that he could exonerate them from criminal liability for a substantial monetary reward. After reaching an agreement, Pashayev received significant financial resources from Blinovsky.
