The Number of Individuals Detained Near the ‘Zovq’ Supermarket Has Increased

In order to ensure the normal operation of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, the Road Department of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure is installing roadblocks in the area of Upper Ptghni. The public order is being maintained by the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the scene. Fifteen individuals have been brought to the Kotayk police department for actions specified under article 182 of the Administrative Offenses Code. This does not aim to obstruct the activities of any business operator; instead, it aims to ensure the smooth traffic flow and safety of participants on the interstate highway's roadside.

Recall that employees and business operators near the “Zovq” supermarket and several shops, along with residents of Upper Ptghni, blocked the road in protest. These employees and villagers were demanding a clear response from the Road Department of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure regarding the decision to install metal barriers in that section of the road.
