413 Drivers Found to be Intoxicated According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs
From September 9 to 16, during a service conducted in the capital, Yerevan patrol officers identified 4,123 violations of road traffic rules, moving 179 vehicles to a designated area. Specifically, 172 individuals were found driving under the influence, while 292 persons were caught driving without a valid driving license.
Additional violations included 36 related to registration plates, 694 for not wearing seatbelts, 265 for using tobacco products while driving, 200 for using mobile phones, 222 for pedestrians crossing in non-designated areas, and 1,605 other violations. Furthermore, 129 vehicles were operated without compulsory insurance, 109 had not undergone technical inspection, 58 had malfunctioning external light devices, and 108 had tinted windshields and side windows. Additionally, 72 individuals were arrested on various suspicions during this same period.
In the regions, patrol officers identified 13,270 violations of traffic rules, moving 255 vehicles to designated areas. During this enforcement, 241 drivers were found to be intoxicated, and 796 were driving without a valid license. Reported violations included 52 related to registration plates, 3,378 for not wearing seatbelts, 346 for using tobacco products while driving, 554 for using mobile phones, 30 for pedestrians crossing in non-designated areas, 1,759 for speeding, and 3,351 other violations.
Additionally, 441 vehicles were operated without compulsory insurance, 1,300 had not undergone technical inspection, 557 had malfunctioning external light devices (including 38 trucks), and 194 had tinted windshields and side windows. During this period, 29 individuals were arrested on various suspicions.
