US Denies Plans to Send Troops to Ukraine

The State Department insists that Washington has no plans to directly participate in the conflict in Ukraine or send troops to the country. At the same time, they note that the American side intends to continue supporting Kyiv and sending weapons to the region.

“We have been very clear that the United States does not intend to participate in that war. We are not planning to send our troops,” said Matthew Miller, the head of the department's press service, during a regular press briefing.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated to reporters that Ukraine is incapable of striking deep into Russian territory without the help of the West, as it requires satellite reconnaissance data and flight missions. He highlighted that NATO countries are not just debating the potential use of Western long-range weaponry by Kyiv, but are, in fact, making decisions regarding direct involvement in the Ukrainian conflict.

Putin indicated that Moscow will make decisions based on the threats that may arise for Russia.
