What Weather to Expect in the Coming Days

In the territory of the Republic of Armenia, thunderstorms and brief rain are expected in some areas during the evening hours of August 30 and the night of August 31. From August 31 to September 1-3, dry weather is anticipated. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The wind will be southeast at a speed of 2-5 m/s, with gusts expected to reach 17-20 m/s during thunderstorms. On the evening of August 31 and September 1-2, wind gusts of 14-18 m/s are expected in Armavir, the foothills of Kotayk, and Aragatsotn.

The air temperature will gradually rise by 2-4 degrees on September 2-3. In Yerevan, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in certain areas during the evening hours of August 30. From August 31 to September 1-3, dry weather is expected. Furthermore, on the evenings of August 31 and September 1-3, wind gusts of 14-16 m/s are anticipated in the capital.

During the day on August 30, temperatures in Yerevan will be around +33...+35 degrees, while in the evening, temperatures will drop to +24...+26 degrees.

The authorities warn that in Shirak, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor foothills, the Ararat valley, and Syunik gorges, a high fire danger situation is expected in the upcoming five days.
