Russia Aims to Prevent 'Color Revolution' Attempts in Georgia, Says Naryshkin
Russia, by publishing its intelligence findings, aims to prevent attempts at a color revolution in Georgia. This was stated by Sergey Naryshkin, the director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, in a comment to TASS regarding an earlier warning issued by the service.
“The fact that Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service has published information not only about the hostile actions of Western intelligence services but also about state structures, such as activities by the U.S. State Department, is intended to contribute to the prevention of a ‘color revolution’ in Georgia,” Naryshkin said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service issued a statement indicating that American authorities were preparing to implement a 'Tbilisi Maidan' to prevent the 'Georgian Dream' party from winning in the parliamentary elections scheduled for October.
