Elon Musk Comments on Macron's Statement Regarding Telegram Founder

American billionaire Elon Musk has commented on French President Emmanuel Macron's statement, in which he declared that all accusations against Paris regarding the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov are false. He urged the French leader to explain the reasons for the businessman's arrest.

“It would be helpful for the global community to know more details about why he was detained,” Musk noted.

It is recalled that Durov was arrested on the evening of August 24 at Le Bourget airport upon arrival from Azerbaijan. According to French judicial authorities, Durov is an accomplice to illegal activities conducted through his messenger.

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the detention of Telegram founder Pavel Durov is not a political decision, and the entrepreneur was arrested in the context of a judicial investigation.
