Son Tells Father He Has No Right to Live, Stabs Him Multiple Times in Lori Region
An extraordinary incident occurred in the Lori region on August 15, according to Shamshyan.com. Around 18:50, operational information was received by the minor affairs division of the Bazum police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia that a 28-year-old resident of Lori region, Aren Ts., nicknamed 'Yesh', stabbed his father, 61-year-old Varuj Ts., multiple times with a knife in the 'Jungliners' neighborhood, where he is currently located.
Varujan Ts. was summoned to the Bazum police station, where, after measures and explanatory work conducted by officers of the criminal investigation department, he stated that the same day at around 16:00, his son, Aren Ts., had argued with him near house number 40 on Chukhajyan Street, telling him that he 'has no right to live and should die.' Aren then stabbed his father multiple times in the abdomen and head with a knife, causing bodily harm and leaving him bleeding before fleeing the scene.
The police are taking measures to locate Aren Ts. and the knife used in the crime. Documentation regarding the incident has been prepared at the Bazum police department and forwarded to the Lori regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
