Serbia Expects New Natural Gas Supply Negotiations with Russia in Autumn

The Serbian authorities anticipate new negotiations regarding natural gas supplies from Russia this autumn under more favorable conditions. This was stated by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, as reported by RIA Novosti.

During his working visit to Russia from August 12-15, the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister engaged in discussions with the Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev.

“Our contract for supplying gas at preferential prices expires next May. We talked about starting negotiations for an extension in September, as there’s no reason to wait. We expect that the agreement will be extended, and we will receive the best and most favorable conditions,” Vulin said during an interview with a Serbian media outlet.
