7 Tons of Water Flood Basements of Buildings in Alaverdi's Sanahin Railway District
On August 16 at 11:34, a call was made to the emergency management center of the Lori regional rescue department reporting that the basements of two residential buildings in the Sanahin railway district of Alaverdi were flooded, requiring the assistance of rescuers to carry out water removal.
A team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations fire-rescue unit was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a water pipe had been damaged between the two buildings in the Sanahin railway district, leading to flooding of a trench intended for the installation of a new water line.
The rescuers used a portable pump to remove approximately 7 tons of water.
