A reinforced police operation is taking place in downtown Yerevan. Footage has been posted on social media. According to media reports, armed police officers and special forces are searching citizens' vehicles on Saryan Street in Yerevan.

"Masked employees from the special division of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, red-bereted forces, and patrol services are on-site, stopping vehicles to search for drugs and weapons," reports 'Hraparak'.
