Director Assaults Route 49 Driver and Threatens to Eliminate Family Members

According to SHAMSHYAN, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan on August 7. Around 13:55, the Arabkir division of the police received a call from the Yerevan Medical Center, reporting that a man, approximately 35 years old, was transported to them unconscious by an ambulance from the intersection of Tbilisi Highway and Koreans Valley.

It was determined on the scene that the man being treated was Derenik T., a 27-year-old driver of the Route 49 bus of the Yerevan Bus Company. He told the police that during a dispute over work-related issues between 09:30 and 10:00 at Koreans Valley, the director of the company, Vahe Babajanyan, assaulted him, striking him in the face, and threatened to eliminate his family members while taking his phone.

Following the actions taken by the police, it was established that V. Babajanyan is the head of the Charbakh gathering point of the Yerevan Bus Company. Efforts are underway by the police to locate V. Babajanyan.

Documents regarding the incident have been prepared at the Arabkir division of the police and forwarded to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan's Arabkir district.
