Tehran Will Respond with Dignity and Firmness, Iranian General Says

Tehran's response to the actions of the Israeli side will be "dignified and firm." This was stated to TASS by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ali Shadmani, during the "Army-2024" conference ongoing in Moscow.

“From Iran's perspective, the assassination of the Hamas leader has disrupted the security balance in the region. The vast majority of the world is not making decisions. As a strong country, Iran must respond. The form of retaliation will be decided by our spiritual leader,” the general said.

According to him, there are two factors affecting the current situation: the regional situation and internal issues. “All state officials are unanimous that the response should be dignified and firm. Actions taken by Washington in the Middle East could impact the security of the United States itself,” Shadmani noted.
