Ukraine Deploys Over 30 Robotic Dogs in Donbas

Ukraine has deployed over 30 BAD.2 robotic dogs from the British company Brit Alliance in the Donbas region during combat, reports BILD. These compact four-legged drones are operated by a human and aid reconnaissance efforts in hard-to-reach areas like buildings or Russian trenches. Equipped with cameras, the robotic dogs detect explosives and enemy movements, reducing the danger to Ukrainian soldiers.

According to Kyle Torburn, head of the British Alliance, the decision to use robots was made due to frequent losses from enemy drones on the battlefield. Thanks to anti-thermal camouflage from the German company Concamo, the robotic dogs are virtually invisible on the battlefield and can operate for up to five hours at a distance of 3.5 km from the operator. Their price ranges from 4,000 to 8,000 euros. The first trials of the robots have been conducted by soldiers of Ukraine's 28th Brigade.
