I Came Here Only to Win a Gold Medal, But I Settled for a Bronze Medal: Malkhas Amoyan

The bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, wrestler Malkhas Amoyan, assures that he will do everything possible to win a gold medal at the 2028 Olympic Games.

“Every athlete dreams of becoming an Olympic champion. I came here only to win a gold medal, but I settled for a bronze medal. Thank God, I was able to win a bronze medal for Armenia. I will try to change the color of the medal to gold at the next Olympic Games,” the wrestler told reporters.

Amoyan noted that the Olympic Games were not as he had envisioned. “I thought the tension would be greater, but everything was normal; I tried to take it lightly, as if I were participating in some kind of sports holiday,” said the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games.

He emphasized that sports life is short, and these moments cannot be erased from memory.
