Video: Uzbekistan Representative Comforts Arthur Aleksanyan After Loss

Member of the Armenian wrestling team, Olympic gold, silver, and bronze medalist, four-time world champion and seven-time European champion Arthur Aleksanyan (97 kg) lost 4-1 to Iranian Mohammadi Saravi in the Greco-Roman final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, securing a silver medal.

Footage has been released on social media showing Uzbekistan's Rustam Asakalov comforting Arthur Aleksanyan after the match. Asakalov, whom Aleksanyan has defeated multiple times, including in these Olympic Games (9-5), can be heard saying, “Listen, brother, don’t be upset, you have accomplished a lot.”
