VIDEO: Paris 2024. Slavic Galstyan Advances to Olympic Games Semifinals

Greco-Roman wrestler Slavic Galstyan has reached the semifinals at the Paris Olympic Games. His quarterfinal match ended with a score of 2:2, but the Armenian wrestler won on account of technical superiority against France’s representative.

Earlier, in the round of 16, he secured a 3:2 victory over Ecuadorian wrestler Andre Montano Aroyo.

The semifinals will take place this evening. It is important to note that today, August 7, two other Armenian wrestlers will also compete for medals. The 97 kg weight class wrestler Artur Aleksanyan will fight for Olympic gold, while 77 kg weight class wrestler Malkhas Amoyan will compete for bronze. Interestingly, Amoyan's opponent is also an Armenian, Aram Vardanyan, who represents Uzbekistan.
