Malkhas Amoyan has reached the semifinals of the Paris Olympic Games after a successful performance in the wrestling competition.

In the quarterfinals, he faced Iranian wrestler Amin Kavianinejad, triumphing with a score of 3:0. Earlier in the 1/8 finals, Amoyan competed against Finland's Joni Kunari Sarkinen and won decisively with a score of 8:0 before the match was completed.

It is noteworthy that Armenia is represented by three athletes in the Greco-Roman wrestling Olympic tournament, with Amoyan and Arthur Aleksanyan competing today, while Slavic Galstyan is scheduled to compete on August 7.
