Paris 2024: Yervand Mkrtchyan Sets Armenian Record

During the 33rd Summer Olympic Games held in Paris, on August 7, Armenia's sole representative in athletics, Yervand Mkrtchyan, took to the track.

The leading Armenian runner competed in the 800-meter race, posting a time of 1:49.91 seconds. In the third heat, Mkrtchyan finished in the last place. However, with a time of 1:49.91, he set a new Armenian record.

Yervand Mkrtchyan concluded his participation in the Paris Olympic Games, finishing in 35th place in the qualifying round.
