Paris 2024: Arsen Harutyunyan Starts with a Confident Victory
European four-time champion and three-time world championship bronze medalist, freestyle wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan, defeated Mexican Roman Bravo-Yang with a score of 13-3 in the 1/8 finals of the Olympic Games, advancing to the quarterfinals.
This is Harutyunyan's second appearance at the Olympic Games. It is worth noting that Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler, Olympic gold, silver, and bronze medalist, as well as four-time world and seven-time European champion, Artur Aleksanyan has become the Olympic Games silver medalist for the second time in his career.
Additionally, Greco-Roman wrestler and three-time European champion Malkhas Amoyan, competing in the 77 kg weight category, has won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. As of now, Armenia has secured three medals at the Paris Olympic Games.
