Car Rolls into Ravine on Sisian-Yerevan Highway; Passengers Confirmed Dead - Ministry of Emergency Situations

On July 31, at 08:50, the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue service received a call regarding a traffic accident near the bridge of Spandaryan village. Assistance from rescuers was required.

A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Honda vehicle, driven by A. H., born in 1990, had veered off the traffic lane of the Sisian-Yerevan highway at the 18th kilometer and rolled approximately 50 meters into a ravine. Passengers N. H. (born in 1990) and Zh. H. (born in 1970) were pronounced dead at the scene.

Prior to the arrival of rescuers, the driver was transported to a medical center. Rescuers shut off the valve of the gas cylinder, disconnected the vehicle's power, and moved the bodies closer to the body transport vehicle.
