Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Truck Hits Couple, Both Die on the Spot

Auroranews received an alert today that a truck has struck two pedestrians near the "Harsnakar" restaurant complex.

Auroranews confirmed details with the Police: "We received reports that a truck hit two individuals at the intersection of Acharian and Babajanyan streets. They have succumbed to their injuries. The victims are a man and woman, both approximately 70 years old. A patrol unit is currently on the scene and is conducting operations. The report has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee," officials stated in a conversation with us.

Shamshyan.com also reports that a Mercedes truck struck the pedestrians adjacent to the "Harsnakar" restaurant complex on Acharian Street. According to the website, the driver did not flee the scene, and the victims died on the spot. The emergency medical team from Yerevan 1-03 confirmed their deaths upon arrival.

A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department, where the identities of the driver and the deceased will be determined. Witnesses at the scene indicated that the deceased were a married couple.
