Tragic Car Accident in Tavush Province: 1 Dead, 11 Injured Including Children

Today, on July 27, a tragic car accident occurred in Tavush Province, according to shamshyan.com. On the 99th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway, in the administrative territory of Dilijan municipality, cars of brands 'Infiniti' and 'Suzuki' collided head-on.

According to a photojournalist at the scene, 12 individuals with bodily injuries were transported to the 'Dilijan' medical center. Eyewitnesses were the first to provide assistance, followed by the rapid response of the rescue team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and the emergency medical teams at the 'Dilijan' medical center.

Some of the injured were taken to the hospital in private vehicles owned by citizens. While an investigative group was en route to the site, a call was received at the Dilijan police department informing them that one of the injured individuals had died without regaining consciousness.

An investigation has been initiated by the investigative department regarding the incident, where the identities of the drivers, the deceased, and the injured are being established. By order of the investigator, the vehicles have been moved to the specially protected area of the Dilijan police department.

According to the photojournalist's information, three of the injured are children, who are currently being transported to relevant hospitals in Yerevan.
