Car Crashes into Pole: 20-Year-Old Driver Dies on Site

On July 29, at 00:37, the Crisis Management Center of the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Service received a call reporting a traffic accident near the intersection of the village of Kechut, with casualties and the need for rescue assistance.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ rescue service stated that a firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It was discovered that at the intersection of Yerevan Highway and Azatamartikneri Street, a Volkswagen vehicle, driven by A.M. born in 2004, had veered off the road and crashed into a pole supporting an advertising board, resulting in the driver’s death at the scene.

The rescuers disabled the vehicle, closed the gas tank valve, and with specialized equipment, extracted the driver’s body, bringing it close to the ambulance, while the vehicle was transported on a tow truck.
