Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, currently visiting the United States, has decided to return to Israel early following shelling in the Golan Heights. This was announced by Dmitry Gendelman, an advisor to the Prime Minister's office, via his Telegram channel, referencing diplomatic sources.

“Immediately after the news of the tragedy, Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered to expedite his return to Israel,” the statement said. He added that a session of the security cabinet would take place immediately upon the Prime Minister's arrival in Israel.

On July 27, advisor Dmitry Gendelman reported casualties and injuries in the Golan Heights. The Prime Minister’s advisor characterized the incident as a violation of UN Security Council Resolutions 1559 and 1701, placing the blame on Lebanon and Hezbollah, which he believes operates under Iranian guidance.

Later, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari clarified that children were killed as a result of a missile strike on Majdal Shams. The Lebanese Hezbollah group denied its involvement in the attack on the village in the Golan Heights, where children were casualties, asserting that the “Islamic Resistance” had no connection to the incident. However, the group did claim responsibility for a missile attack in response to Israeli shelling of communities in southern Lebanon.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated that after the strikes in the Golan Heights, Hezbollah has crossed all red lines and warned of the imminent approach of a larger conflict with the group and Lebanon.
