Snoop Dog Participates in Olympic Torch Relay

American rapper Snoop Dog has participated in the Olympic torch relay in Paris ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics. The 52-year-old rapper carried the Olympic flame near the Stade de France.

The opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics will take place on July 26, along the banks of the Seine River, with competitions running until August 11.

In late February 2022, the International Olympic Committee issued a message to international sports federations, advising them not to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in any competitions. By the end of 2023, the organization decided to permit Russians and Belarusians to compete as neutral athletes leading up to the 2024 Olympics, contingent upon meeting several requirements and qualifications.
