Car veers off Megri Road and overturns; one injured

On July 24, at 18:25, the crisis management center of the Vayots Dzor regional rescue department received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Arpi-Areni road, with one person injured.

A fire and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a Mitsubishi vehicle (driver: A.M., born in 1990) had veered off the roadway at the 115th kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri highway and overturned, causing the road to become one-way.

Before the rescuers arrived, the driver was hospitalized, where his condition was assessed as moderately severe. The rescuers disabled the vehicle and secured the area. The car was righted with local efforts, and the road has since been reopened for two-way traffic.
