One Person Hospitalized After Car Explosion in Yerevan
Today, on July 23, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 19:30, an explosion took place in a "Hyundai Elantra" car in front of the "Tumanyan" shawarma shop on Komitas Avenue under still unknown circumstances.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the explosion, the car's windshield was blown out, and the driver, who was first assisted by the driver of route 43, registered with the Yerevan municipality, managed to quickly prevent the spread of fire with a fire extinguisher kept on the bus and then extinguished it.
The injured driver received initial medical assistance at the scene from paramedics who arrived promptly and was subsequently transferred to the National Burn Center. However, some friends of the driver gathered at the scene indicated that he was taken to the Heratsi University Hospital No. 1 instead.
According to Shamshyan's sources, the person hospitalized is 34-year-old Mher K. from Yerevan. It is now being investigated under what circumstances the explosion occurred in the vehicle.
