Armenian Ministry of Defense Addresses Explosion Incident Near Kapan Shooting Range

Reports circulating in the media and on social networks about an explosion at the Ministry of Defense's shooting range in Kapan, claiming there is a casualty, have been addressed by the Ministry of Defense. They clarified that such an incident did not occur within the shooting range itself, but rather in a neighboring area. The deceased has been identified as a civilian.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs previously announced that on July 20 at 18:45, a call was received by the police regarding a body found in the vicinity of the shooting range in Kapan. Personnel from the police and rescue services were dispatched to the location.

It has been confirmed that, according to preliminary data, a 64-year-old man died as a result of an explosion. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
