Biden Exits Presidential Race

U.S. President Joe Biden is exiting the presidential race, as announced by the sitting president on his X microblog.

“As a nation, we have made significant progress over the last three and a half years. Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. America has never been in a better position to play a leading role than it is today. I know that none of this would have been possible without you, the American people. Together, we have overcome the pandemic and the largest economic crisis since the Great Depression. We have defended and upheld our democracy. We have revitalized and strengthened our alliances around the world. It has been a great honor for me to be your President for a part of my life. Although I intended to run for re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and my country for me to exit the race and focus on fulfilling my presidential duties for the remainder of my term. I will share more details with the public about my decision later this week,” wrote Biden.
