More than Half of Democrats Support Kamala Harris
More than half of the U.S. Democratic senators have already endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris's candidacy for the presidency, according to CNN.
“At least 27 Democratic senators, which constitutes the majority of Democrats in the Senate, have supported Vice President Kamala Harris as a candidate for president,” the report stated.
According to the network, there are a total of 47 Democrats in the Senate. Additionally, at least 60 Democrats from the House of Representatives have also expressed their support for Harris's candidacy.
It is noteworthy that U.S. President Joe Biden announced on Sunday, July 21, that he is withdrawing from the presidential race, declaring his full support for Vice President Kamala Harris as the unified candidate of the Democratic Party.
The U.S. presidential elections are set to take place on November 5.
