Three People Stabbed Over Insults at Recreation Center; Arrests Made

On July 17, an emergency incident occurred in the Syunik region. According to Shamshyan.com, around 22:25, operational information was received at the Syunik regional detachment of the RA Police Patrol Service and the Kapan Police Department stating that three citizens had been stabbed at the 'Jagalats' recreation center in Kapan.

As reported, it was revealed at the scene that during an argument between two groups resting nearby at the 'Jagalats' recreation center, one of the citizens inflicted knife wounds on 46-year-old Gurgen H. and 36-year-old Manvel H., both residents of the Syunik region, while 45-year-old Ishkhan P. also a resident of the Syunik region suffered a wrist fracture. All three victims were transported to the 'Kapan' medical center with injuries.

Through operational-investigative measures taken by police officers and patrols, it was uncovered that the argument started over insults exchanged between residents of the Syunik region: 25-year-old Aksanna B., 26-year-old Olia S., 28-year-old Gohar S., 25-year-old Ruben K., 42-year-old Erik N., 20-year-old Samvel N., and on the other side, Gurgen H., Manvel H., Ishkhan P., and 47-year-old Arman G. During the altercation, Gohar S., taking a kitchen knife from the table, struck Manvel H. on the back surface of his chest, causing injury and scratched Ishkhan P.'s hand, who fell during the scuffle and broke his radius.

The participants in the argument were taken to the Kapan Police Department, where Gohar S., Samvel N., Ruben K., and Erik N. were arrested.
