Father, Father-in-law, and Uncle Stabbed; Details Released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs
On July 17 at 22:25, a citizen reported to the operational management center of the Siunik region's police that a father, his father-in-law, and his uncle had been stabbed at one of the recreation centers in Kapan city. This information has been released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Following the alarm, an operational group from the Kapan police department was dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that a dispute had erupted between two groups relaxing at the location, during which one of the participants caused bodily harm to three residents of Kajaran, who were subsequently transported to the hospital.
Through conducted operational-investigative measures, it was determined that the dispute arose over insults exchanged between six residents of Kapan and four residents of Kajaran. The argument escalated into a physical altercation and mutual insults, resulting in a prolonged disruption of public order.
During this chaos, a 27-year-old female resident of Kapan picked up a kitchen knife from a table and attacked the three men from Kajaran, one of whom fell and fractured his wrist. The Kapan participants of the dispute have been presented to the police station. The attacker and three other individuals have been arrested. The documents prepared have been sent to the regional investigative department of Siunik. Investigations are ongoing.
