If Trump Wins, Ukraine Issue Will Have to Be Resolved by Europe

If former President Donald Trump wins in the U.S. presidential elections, Europe will have to resolve the issue of Ukraine. This was stated by Richard Grenell, a candidate for Secretary of State under Trump, in an interview with BILD.

According to him, the Ukrainian conflict is "on the outskirts of Europe," and if the war were in Mexico, the United States would "handle most, if not all, of the situation and would not turn to the Germans for help."

“Europe is at war. When Trump was there, Europe was not at war. NATO was much stronger during Trump’s presidency. Biden hasn’t spoken to Putin in three years. I believe that talking to people is part of a strategy. It’s not the goal, it’s not the solution, but it gets us there,” he said.

He added that the German government has gravely misjudged Donald Trump’s policies. “Today I can say that Nord Stream 2 became one of the reasons why there is war in Ukraine...” He also emphasized that Trump’s peace plan is "realistic." “Look, Donald Trump forged peace agreements between Arabs and Israelis; there were no wars in Europe during Trump’s time,” the politician added.
