If Trump Wins, Europe Will Have to Solve the Ukraine Issue
If former President Donald Trump wins the presidential election in the U.S., Europe will have to solve the issue of Ukraine. This was stated by Richard Grenell, a candidate for the position of U.S. Secretary of State, in an interview with BILD.
In his opinion, the Ukrainian conflict is “on the periphery of Europe,” and if the war were taking place in Mexico, the United States would be “doing most of the work, if not all of it, and would not look to the Germans for help.”
“Europe is at war. When Trump was there, Europe was not at war. NATO was much stronger during Trump’s tenure. Biden has not spoken to Putin even once in three years. I believe that talking to people is a strategy. It is not the goal, it is not the solution, but it gets us there,” he stated.
According to him, the German government made a terrible mistake regarding Donald Trump’s policies. “Today, I can say that Nord Stream 2 became one of the reasons why there is a war in Ukraine…” He added that Trump’s peace plan is “realistic.”
“Look, Donald Trump made peace agreements between Arabs and Israelis, and during Trump’s time, there were no wars in Europe,” the politician concluded.
