Mass Poisoning of Guests Occurs During a Wedding in Azerbaijan

A mass poisoning incident took place during a wedding celebration in the village of Melikchobanli, located in the Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan, local media reports.

According to preliminary information, 21 individuals who attended the wedding were diagnosed with acute poisoning and were transferred to the regional central hospital. Around 10 individuals were rushed to the hospital via ambulance, while the remaining poisoned guests sought medical assistance independently.

Initial data suggests that the source of the poisoning may have been the wedding cake served during the celebration. An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
