This is another political show: Head of the Second President's Office
Judge Anna Danibekyan's powers should have been suspended not for delaying, but for illegally and unconstitutionally failing to terminate the criminal case earlier, which unlawfully kept President Kocharyan in custody for about 1.5 years, Bagrat Mikoyan, the head of the office of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, said in an interview with Yerevan.Today, commenting on the decision of the Supreme Judicial Council to suspend Judge Danibekyan's powers.
“Justifying their decision, the president of the Supreme Judicial Council, Karen Andreasyan, considered the criminal case known to the public as 'Silva's Case' to be one of the most important and noted that the trial was not conducted within a reasonable time and has been delayed,” said Mikoyan. He also added, “This is another political show, now involving the Supreme Judicial Council.”
It is noteworthy that courts had already stated in their rulings regarding the 'Silva's Case,' which is considered 'the most important in history' for the president of the Supreme Judicial Council, since 2019 that there was not even a reasonable suspicion in it.
