Macron Accepts Prime Minister Gabriel Attal's Resignation
French President Emmanuel Macron has accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who decided to step down following the results of the second round of early parliamentary elections in the country.
According to the data from the Élysée Palace, Attal will continue to perform his duties along with the cabinet of ministers until the appointment of a new government.
In the parliamentary elections in France, the coalition of leftist parties, the New Popular Front, emerged victorious. Attal was appointed Prime Minister at the age of 34, making him the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the Fifth Republic and the youngest head of government in the European Union.
