If They Wish to Invade, It Will Become an Irretrievable Hell for Them: Iran's Foreign Minister

The potential invasion of Lebanon by Israel would become an "irretrievable hell" for the Jewish state, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani, as reported by TASS.

"If they wish to invade Lebanon, it will become a deep well for them. Lebanon will turn into an irretrievable hell for the Zionists," he stated.

In response to a question regarding the potential escalation of the conflict between Israel and Lebanon, the Iranian foreign minister noted the Israeli army's defeat over the past nine months during battles in the Gaza Strip.

According to Bagheri Kani, the balance of power in the region has shifted following attacks by Hamas fighters on Israel and the initiation of Israeli operations in the enclave. He described Israel's actions as an attempt to revert to the previous situation, which includes a pathway for the expansion of military operations.

The politician added that Israel might intentionally enter Lebanon, after which military operations could expand into its territory. Bagheri Kani emphasized that even through such methods, the Jewish state cannot unilaterally end the war and tensions in the region.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Israeli Air Force struck military targets of the Shiite Hezbollah movement located in southern Lebanon.
