The former mayor of Vanadzor, Mamigon Aslanyan, has had his remand measure changed. He was released from the Vardashen Penitentiary Institution on bail of 10 million drams. Charges have also been brought against his two subordinates, including a lawyer and the chief architect of the community.
Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that on December 5, 2021, the "Mamigon Aslanyan" alliance received the highest votes in the local government elections in Vanadzor. The inaugural session of the elected council and the election of the community leader was scheduled for December 17.
