Citizen on House Arrest Pours Gasoline on Himself Near Prosecutor's Office: What He Demanded
Armlur.am reports that an unusual incident occurred near the General Prosecutor's Office on Saturday. A citizen under house arrest, dissatisfied with the legal proceedings surrounding him, went to the prosecutor's office to demand a meeting with the prosecutor.
As his request was not fulfilled, he poured gasoline on himself at the entrance of the General Prosecutor's Office in an attempt to self-immolate. However, police intervened and stopped his actions.
According to reports received by the media, when emergency services arrived at the scene, police had already prevented the citizen's actions.
The media attempted to clarify the situation with the General Prosecutor's Office, which responded: "The citizen, accused of fraud and under house arrest, wished to meet with the supervising prosecutor. The police explained that it was a non-working day and urged him to submit a request, but the citizen did not comply with the police's advice and poured gasoline on himself, intending to self-immolate, which was ultimately prevented by the police."
