Bitcoin Surpasses $62,000 Following Assassination Attempt on Trump
Mariam Z.
On Monday, Bitcoin prices surged, significantly rising from a low level following the assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump. Speculation that the failed assassination attempt could boost Trump’s chances of winning a second term has been a key factor driving the rise of Bitcoin, especially considering that the Republican candidate has taken a favorable stance towards cryptocurrencies in recent months.
In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin has increased by 4.6%, reaching $62,708.9. It had fallen to over a four-month low last week, but it is now trading nearly $10,000 higher.
