Former Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Sues Government
Former Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Gayane Gabrielyan has filed a lawsuit against the government, demanding her reinstatement in her position and payment of the entire amount for forced leave. This information has been reported by the judicial information system "Datalex."
Gabrielyan was dismissed on March 21 of this year by the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The former deputy minister is contesting the legality of the decision with her claim and is requesting it to be declared invalid, reinstating her to her former position, as well as compensating for the forced leave amount from March 21 until the legal force of the court ruling is established, at the average salary rate, including losses at a rate of 0.15 percent of the amount payable for each day.
The lawsuit has been assigned to Judge Mher Petrosyan of the Administrative Court of Armenia. The judge accepted the case for consideration on May 29. The preliminary court session took place on July 4 and was conducted in a verbal procedure. The Ministry of Finance of Armenia has been engaged in the case as a third party.
It is noteworthy that Gayane Gabrielyan was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Nature Protection on July 23, 2021. She is the president of the Association of State Procurement Experts and holds a PhD in Economic Sciences.
