According to the New York Post, the shooter who attempted to kill the former president is identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, aged 20. The US House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Accountability has initiated an investigation into the assassination attempt against Donald Trump, with hearings scheduled for July 22.
