The Primary Source of Corruption is Now the Civil Contract Party: Daniel Ioannisian

Daniel Ioannisian, the coordinator of the IKM programs, posted on Facebook:

“The primary source of corruption in Armenia is now the Civil Contract party. Yes, there is systemic inertia, conflict, and problematic traditions, but these are secondary. The source of corruption is the members of parliament from the Civil Contract who, when they see an independent candidate for the CCA, suddenly fabricate claims that this person has called for hitting the Prime Minister with a rock (later it turns out that it was about a humorous post)... To put it in people's terms, they prevent the election of an honest person to an anti-corruption position by 'smearing' that individual.

The source of corruption is the MPs who complain about the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports because they can't use him to appoint their own Civil Contract members to the positions of school directors... Amid this dissatisfaction, they spread lies about this honest minister.

The source of corruption is the dominating MPs who boast left and right that the police could not fine them and are happy about that situation.

The source of corruption is those Civil Contract MPs who are engaged in 'contractor' businesses for importing phones and other goods. And when the State Revenue Committee comes after their friend’s illegal business, they begin to disseminate lies about the head of the Committee.

Note: When, in 2018, Nikol Pashinyan appointed someone like Arthur Vanetsyan as the head of the NSS, that was foolishness. But when people with five years of governance experience defend the appointment of corrupt officials to the position of the head of the Anti-Corruption Court, that is pure corruption.

Additionally, I forgot to mention that Vagharsh Agabekyan, who was not elected by the National Assembly yesterday, played a significant role in preventing Manatsakan Martirosyan from becoming the head of the Anti-Corruption Court. Well, some members of the Civil Contract party under Hrayr Tovmasyan surely wouldn't let that go unpunished.”
