New Missile Strikes Are a 'Terrifying Reminder of Russia's Brutality': Biden

US President Joe Biden announced on Monday that Russian missile strikes on Ukraine, including one on a major children's hospital in Kyiv, are a "terrifying reminder of Russia's brutality."

“The Russian missile strikes, which killed dozens of Ukrainians today and caused casualties and destruction at Kyiv's largest children's hospital, serve as a horrific reminder of Russia's brutality,” Biden said in a statement released by the White House, according to Voice of America.

Biden added that Washington and its NATO allies will announce new measures this week to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

“It is important for the world to continue supporting Ukraine at this crucial moment, and we must not ignore Russian aggression,” the U.S. President stated.

On Monday afternoon, a Russian missile struck a hospital in Kyiv, and a barrage of missiles also fell on other cities in Ukraine. The latest wave of airstrikes has claimed at least 41 civilian lives in recent months. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its forces have targeted facilities in Ukraine's defense industry and aviation bases.
